How Much Does a Packing Service Cost?

Hiring professional packers and unpackers is a great way to make your move more efficient and less of a worry for you. Not only does it help keep your items safe from breakages but it also frees you up to attend to other things and gets you settled into your new home much faster.
Hire A Packer has trusted, professional, experienced packers doing the work to get you moved quickly, safely and on time — although we don’t recommend moving on the same day as your pack or unpack service.

Pack and Unpack
If you choose to have Hire A Packer professionals both pack and unpack your items, your belongings are in safe hands. Your items will be expertly wrapped in bubble wrap or paper for maximum protection, grouped together by room, and placed in clearly labelled boxes for easy moving and unpacking.
We have a minimum booking of 2 people for 4 hours. The price for this is $680 (including GST) which works out at $85 per hour, per person. If you need additional hours, they are charged at the same rate of $85 per hour, per person (including GST).

Pack Only
If you have a tight budget or are just looking to cut down costs, you can hire Hire A Packer professionals to help only with your packing. Your items will be expertly wrapped in paper or bubble wrap and placed in labelled boxes so you can easily unpack them yourself once you get to your new home.

Unpack Only

Packing Materials
When you book Hire A Packer professionals to help pack or unpack your items, you’ll also need to purchase or hire packaging materials, as our team doesn’t bring these items with them.
We recommend you purchase these items through our sister company, Hire A Box (hireabox.com.au), and ensure you have a sufficient quantity before the packers arrive. The last thing you want is packers standing around because you’ve run out of boxes!
When you book with Hire A Packer, you will be provided with a 10% discount code to use with Hire A Box. With Hire A Box you can hire or buy boxes, and also purchase other packing materials such as wrapping paper, tape rolls, and bubble wrap.
